COVID-19 is changing the rules. It’s causing us to forget where we are, and where we should be going. We are paying the price for getting so much of this wrong. But, we can’t afford one thing- to screw up education.
As I understand it, the simplest mission of early childhood education is to safely educate the youngest Americans, OUR children, in the academic, social and values so that they will be ready to lead American strongly, energetically, and expertly, into the future (each student in their own way is being taught to contribute- to make our nation better.
The crucial topic (among many) is what to do about school reopening. Let's start that discussion with something wonderful, beautiful, and exciting (for a change); Elementary school education for America’s children.
